Actually, I see a problem that it's not identifiable to a specific library. I foresee the possibility of an enterprising young undergrad using his five-finger discount at the local public library to return a copy of a book to the college where he's enrolled and wants to graduate this month.

But I wouldn't personally know of any such undergrad.

ISBNs are indexed in INNOPAC. This leads to the intriguing
possibility of using the dust jacket scannable ISBNs as barcodes.
Has anyone out there tried this?
