That did the trick for me - my file (created in iReports 2.0.5) generated errors when opened in 1.3.3, but after I saved it with 1.3.3, then Millennium was able to compile it. The Release 2007 manual's link is directly to the iReport website, rather than to the CSDirect download.

That's the version for download on CSDirect, and it was mentioned at the
sessions I went to at IUG on print templates. I ignore the update message I
get every time I open iReport.

Where did you read that the recommended version was 1.3.3? I missed that.
I'll try that.

We have one template set up for sheet fed spine labels. We haven't had any
problems with it once the spacing was adjusted to our taste. Did you use
the Build - Compile command in iReports? And then did you re-import the
template? Whenever I made a change, I deleted the template from Millennium,
saved it with a new name in iReports (to keep the different versions
straight) and then re-imported the template. I'm wondering if you did not
get the compiled template into Millennium. And I stayed on the recommended
version of 1.3.3, so I don't know if the 2.0.5 version would have anything
to do with this.

Has anyone been successful at customizing sheetfed laser spine labels using
iReport? I'm trying, but get a "The template for this item type cannot be
compiled" from Millennium. I compiled the .jrxml file in iReport 2.0.5
first, with no errors.
