One solution would be to add a print stylesheet to your OPAC. This would control the appearance of records when they are printed or print previewed.

You can insert it by adding this to your page head:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/screens/printstyle.css" media="print"/>

If you start out with a blank stylesheet and work from there, you'll find that it's not terribly hard to adjust and your printing will be much better.

In your case, you could decide to print either the Basic Info or Details view for each record.

Hope this helps.

We have discovered that our tabbed bib_display.html won't print anything (aside from the botlogo text) that falls on the second page or beyond in Firefox. An example:

http://lrc-srv.mhcc.edu/search~/a?searchtype=t&searcharg=cardiovascular+diseases&SORT=D&submit=Search%21#<http://lrc-srv.mhcc.edu/search~/a?searchtype=t&searcharg=cardiovascular+diseases&SORT=D&submit=Search%21>

Click on the "details" tab and do a print preview. We lose everything from "Diagnosing heart disease" on. Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening? I recently added print formatting to our stylesheet, but even when it is removed Firefox behaves this way. IE is just fine. Thanks again!
