Hi Lise,

In the reserve module, as soon as you click on the select button for an item, a popup will appear with:

Location:
[Drop Down]

Item Type:
[1 ]

[check box] Display course name as call number

Item status:
<snip>

At the location drop down, you choose the reserve location of the item. The current location will be showing. You must have the reserve location set up in your system already to select it. We typically go from sdmai San Diego Main to sdrs San Diego Reserves.

We catalogue the faculty reserve items with the sdrs location straight off. If we own it, the item will have a regular location in the library where is belongs when not on reserve.

I also check the Display course name as call number as it makes it harder for someone to make a mistake and go look for it in the stacks. Not only does the item say San Diego Reserves, but it will display the course number as well. We don't have a lot of reserve items and they are organised by course number. I know some libraries have them in shelf list order, but that doesn't work for us as well.
