You can't edit the order record to re-enter a credit amount.
You enter the new invoice.. as a credit amount.
That will then show on the order record. (which is what I think Diane
means)

I enter credit memos in regularly and never have a problem, so please
forgive me if this is a dumb question: What do you mean "edit the order
record with a credit memo amount"? When you post the invoice, it should
show up, right under the original invoice info.
