Well, this is good to know, but now we are trying to figure out
logistics. Our cataloging staff is wondering how they can share a laser
printer and yet know who is printing what. We have five barcoders
currently, each has their own Okidata printer. If you have multiple
barcoders and are printing to a shared laser printer, would you contact
me please? Thank you!

>From my notes from IUG Release 2007 printing, only graphics capable
printers can utilize the new Print Templates, even if you are just
printing text not images. Some dot matrix printers are graphics capable,
so they will still work most likely. But a lot aren't. Print Templates
is set up for laser printing. Specifically for spine labels, III is only
supporting laser printing on sheets of spine labels. There is a template
for continuous feed labels, but III services will not support it (i.e.,
you're on your own).
There is supposed to be a Print Template wiki available on CSDirect
immediately after the IUG meeting earlier this month. It might have more
specific information. I haven't looked.
Hope this helps.

IUGs,

I've been trying to track down a discussion of dot-matrix printer
issueswith Release 2007 that may have taken place at an IUG session
devoted to tech-services printing.

If you can set me on the right track or clear up the issue please do ...

Thanks,
Steve Waage
