Hello again -
I've received several responses already (the most frequent being "we
place a hold on the item for the customer") as well as several requests
to share the information that people send. I'll make sure to collect
all the responses and variations and post the results to the list so
everyone can benefit.

Subject: Notifying customers when we purchase items they request
Hello everyone -
we use a basic web form to let customers suggest items for purchase.
It would be a nice value added service if we could let customers know
when the title they suggested had been added to the database. Is anyone
out there doing this, either with an innovative product/feature or a
home-grown method? I'd be interested in hearing all the options and how
they're working for you. Please respond off list. Thanks!

BTW, we are a turnkey site running 2006 (2007 WebPAC Pro).
