My recollection of the presentation by III on the new iReports capability, 
included in Release 2007, is that it is NOT intended to address dot matrix 
printing issues. Rather, it allows font specification, placement, sizing, 
etc., as they are supported in Windows printer drivers for cut sheet 
printers, essentially laser printers (but maybe inkjet also).

They made some comments about some kinds of printers that were expressly 
not supported, but I don't trust my memory.
