Our campus is investigating three different Academic Management Packages that will allow single-sign-on for the campus. I'm slightly excited because once a student or faculty member has authenticated we can pass them through to My Millennium and so on. We contracted for LDAP but have been unable to initialize until the rest of the campus catches up.

My questions are: if you are using LDAP what package is your parent organization using? Are you happy with the interface? How easy/hard was it to set up (both LDAP and SSO)? Would you choose the same management software if you were required to bid again? If you don't use LDAP, does your III system interface with the Academic Management software in any way?

I hope these questions don't sound too naïve, I'm a total yutz with this new stuff. Any information you can provide will be enlightening. You can respond off list if you like.
