I recently obtained a TopGun laser scanner attachment for the PT 2000
reader.

It fits on the handheld fine and when triggered emits the laser, but
does not give an audible sound nor does the "good read" light come on
nor does the barcode number actually get recorded.

In other words it just doesn't scan.

We've tried reading other barcode types (including the programming
barcodes in the Percon manual) and NOTHING seems to scan even though it
seems to emit a strong beam when triggered.

The original light pen and the scanner are both just optical scanners. I
am confused as to how they could be doing something different yet one
works and one doesn't.

Has anyone got a TopGun attachment to work with their PT 2000 reader? If
so, please contact me off list.

Thanks.
