Hi Tyra,
I think you'll only get a discount if you can book a group of
travelers. If I were alone I take the train to Union Station ($6) and
then the Metro to the hotel (about $2).
Our group of four is arriving at Reagan and taking the Metro to the
hotel even though we have to change from the yellow line to the red line
at the Gallery Place station.
We thought about taking the Metro/Train to Baltimore but our group
would only save about$12 per person. Hotel-to-airport curbside service
vs. Metro/train stops and transfers. Again, if I was alone I'd take the
public transportation.
Maybe you could ride the train/Metro in and take the SuperShuttle back
when you leave. That would save some $$$ and you'd get the best of both
worlds. :)
My experience has been that it is risky to try to catch a shuttle
without a reservation. On one visit to DC I tried that. Couldn't find a
shuttle that would get me to the airport on time, ran into Union Station
to catch a train--no tickets available for the train I needed, and ended
up paying for a $90 taxi ride to BWI. Bummer.

I'm flying into Baltimore on Sunday. If I make a reservation online,
the cost is $68.00 round trip as they are calling me passenger 1--and
they want payment NOW with a credit card.
Does anyone know if a reservation is necessary? Or, can you just
catch
a super shuttle upon arrival and split the fare with any other
passengers?
Thanks!
Tyra

posted!
FYI - The SuperShuttle discount is NOT valid for BWI (Baltimore).
Just
wanted to let our 'ugers know. Our four attendees will be paying
about
$20.00 ea. to go from the hotel to BWI on Wednesday.
