I also have limited experience from attending ALA last June. I flew into BWI, took a free shuttle to the MARC train station, then caught the train into Union Station. Was fairly inexpensive and hassle free.
For more information, here's the url http://www.mtamaryland.com/services/marc/

I've just spent several minutes on the website and it looks as though the MARC isn't an option for those of us flying into BWI on the week-end. It doesn't operate on week-ends. Guess I'd better start working on Plan B.

If you're flying into BWI, in my (limited) experience, you're best off catching a train from BWI to Union Station, then going to the hotel from there. Commuter trains and Amtrak both run by there with some regularity.

It also appears that groups of 3 or more arriving at Reagan National would be better off just taking a taxi to the hotel rather than using the SuperShuttle.

I'm flying into Baltimore on Sunday. If I make a reservation online,
the cost is $68.00 round trip as they are calling me passenger 1--and
they want payment NOW with a credit card.

Does anyone know if a reservation is necessary? Or, can you just catch
a super shuttle upon arrival and split the fare with any other
passengers?

Thanks!
Tyra

posted!

FYI - The SuperShuttle discount is NOT valid for BWI (Baltimore). Just
wanted to let our 'ugers know. Our four attendees will be paying about
$20.00 ea. to go from the hotel to BWI on Wednesday.
