Thawte is far less expensive than Verisign.
Don't know much about the virtues of each, other than that, but we haven't had any trouble since we switched to Thawte about a year ago.

Hi,
We need to purchase SSL certificate and install it on our server.
Does anyone have any preference or recommendations on who to purchase it from?

Thanks,

We don't currently have an SSL certificate but are considering getting
one. Steve Lindemann's comment about using ssh instead of telnet for
Millennium prompts me to ask what else can change (either immediately or
because of settings changes I make) once we have SSL? I know about the
relative rather than absolute references. I saw something on the
CSDirect page about changing web page addresses to https. If I have a
link to the My Millennium login that is currently
http://simon.ups.edu/patroninfo do I have to change it to read https?
