We've had a number of complaints about the initial order of results when doing one of the authority index searches. They don't seem to mind relevancy ranking for keyword searches, but when doing these other searches, the results are in alpha order by title. Our students are looking for the latest information about something usually and find it confusing, for example, when they see a 1999 item for global warming at the top of the list and maybe won't find a 2007 item until way down in the list of items. [And, yes, we know that we can refer them to the sort drop box at the top of the page but they don't seem to always find it on their own.]

I don't seem to find a web option to change the initial order. What am I missing?
