We reported this same problem in August 2006 to Mark Rutledge at III. At
that time, he claimed to have seen the problem before and was forwarding
it to programming. The error we received was "Could not restart 444; ssl
was not initialized" and it occurred on port 443 as well. This could be
an entirely different issue from yours.
The workaround for us was to restart the ports in INNOPAC. I seem to
remember that the error only occurred in MilAdmin when we actually
changed the SSLPORT wwwoption, but I could be wrong. We opened a ticket
(#944615) in Sept. '06, which you're welcome to reference.
Unfortunately, I can't find any follow-up information on this ticket, so
I'm not sure if they were able to "fix" us or not. We're currently able
to restart ports in MilAdmin without a problem.
