Hi all,
I got some good information earlier from the listserv about using Expect
to automate some tasks at our library. When I went to install it I
found that it is no longer supported by NIST and instead downloaded
Active State's ActiveTcl 8.4.14.0. The Expect scripts found in the
clearinghouse don't seem to run correctly in this interface. Doing some
very shallow digging online I found that some Expect commands (like
"spawn") aren't supported in this environment.
Being a non-coder I may be misunderstanding the whole situation. Does
anyone have a resource where I can download Expect for Windows and/or
instructions in plain English for modifying the current scripts to run
in our current environment? Thanks in advance for any help!
