- Subject: [IUG] Patron requests on newly added itype
Folks,
Please help me find what I know is probably a very simple fix -- I'm
just not remembering some little detail, I am sure.
We added a new item type which we want to be requestable by
patrons. I've added it to the rule determiner table and tested to
know it works at least to the degree that staff can check the items
out correctly. I've checked the request rules to be sure there's
nothing there that would prohibit holds. I've reviewed both the OPAC
and Circ system options to be sure it doesn't need to be added
there. Still, although the staff can place holds on these items for
patrons, patrons themselves are unable to place holds in the
OPAC. The screen reports that the hold was placed successfully and
they can pick the item up at the designated pick up location, but the
request never appears in the patron record as a hold. I have
verified that holds are working for all other types of items -- only
holds for the items coded with the new itype are not working.
What step might I have missed in this set up?
TIA.
