Looking at Ebscohost I have done the following, works in library,
doesn't work at home:

1. Our DNS has been updated with the wildcard. I can now access
catalog.glensidepld.org with anything I put in front - bill, beer,
pizza, etc.

Unfortunately, if things are set up correctly you shouldn't be able to do this. You should be able to do a lookup on anything that takes the form 0-somehost.catalog.glensidepld.org and get the IP address of catalog.glensidepld.org returned, but http://0-somehost.catalog.glensidepld.org/ should produce an error unless you've accounted for "somehost" in your WAM table.

If I enter http://0-bill.beer.pizza.catalog.glensidepld.org/ in my browser I get to the same place as I would if I entered plain old http://catalog.glensidepld.org/ but I should get "The address you are trying to access is invalid", unless, of course, you have bill.beer.pizza or *.beer.pizza or *.*.pizza in your WAM table.

I think there's some funkiness in your WAM table entries as well, but I'd get the DNS situation straightened out first.
