We had the same problem after a Firefox upgrade- patrons typing in the
meebome box got dumped into an advanced search and out of their session.
I think you're approximately right about the problem (unfortunately I
don't know any javascript at all, but I'm really good at searching
everything and being able to copy adapt and paste.)This is not an
elegant fix I'm sure, but it worked for us-
Go to where you have
<embed src="http://widget.meebo.com/mm.swf?lhcoiYDmfd";
type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
and try substituting
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
data="http://widget.meebo.com/mm.swf?KqCmhMLHKF"; width="190"
height="220"><param name="movie"
value="http://widget.meebo.com/mm.swf?KqCmhMLHKF"; /></object>
Naturally you would substitute your preferred size and your own widget
code, otherwise your users will be getting help from the Livermore
Library, instead of your own library :-). Oddly enough when I tested
your staging server today, I was able to use the meebome widget in
Firefox!
