Hi,
We are Edifact ordering AV from Midwest Tape. We download carts of
AV from their website, upload on order records and FTP electronic
Purchase Orders. The FTP transmission to MWT sends the UPC Codes [if
they exist] and the oRecord numbers. Our load table uses UPC code
numbers as a match point for any duplications importing carts of their
titles. The oRecord numbers are the match point for the electronic
invoices. This has all worked very well.
We are currently working out the pieces to import the carts via Quick
Click rather than using Data Exchange. Quick Click brings the carts
directly into Millennium Create Lists rather than having to pick a load
table, etc. We are also beginning to have our Music CD's arrive from
Midwest fully cataloged.

Subject: [IUG] Ordering AV materials with EDIFACT

We are looking to expand our EDIFACT ordering with two more media
vendors, Baker & Taylor and Midwest Tapes.

Does anyone have experience ordering from one or both of these vendors?
We would also be interested in electronic invoicing in the near future.

I would appreciate any shared experiences and/or advice.

Thanks,
