We've used Star printers for years and they are workhorses.
I just did an analysis of their line and ordered 6 new Star TSP613
printers for checkout/checkin. A bit less expensive than the 743 and
743II, $220 a piece from CDW-G, and I think the only sacrifice was that is
they are not autocut. They are USB printers, which is another substantial
variable, and they are supported under a wide range of Windows OS.
