Said,

Great suggestion. Here it is:

The list currently has several thousand subscribers, and that is potentially a lot of people to annoy if your vacation message propagates back to the list. (Not to mention the fact that you can cause a mail loop with yourself by replying to your own vacation message.) A vacation reply program should only reply to messages sent directly to the recipient (e.g., the "To:" header is your e-mail address), not to mail messages sent through e-mail lists. It should reply with a
"Precedence: bulk" header so other automated tools will not reply to it. And it should never reply to a given individual more than once.

If you are uncertain whether your vacation message obeys these rules, it is a good idea to unsubscribe or set your list options to "nomail" to eliminate the possibility of your message going where you don't intend. You can accomplish both by visiting your list options page:

<http://innopacusers.org/mailman/listinfo/innopac>

Enter your email address at the bottom of this page and click the "Unsubscribe or Edit Options" button to change to "nomail", get your list password, or unsubscribe from the list.

While you are there, check to see whether the list thinks your address is the same as you think it is. We get a LOT of messages from list members who try to post with an address different from the one the list has for your membership. If your library has changed mail machines or addresses on you over the past year, or, you use an email alias, your list address needs to reflect that change or your postings will be held for verification.

Thanks for your assistance in keeping the INNOPAC list a clean and tidy place and many good wishes for a wonderful holiday season!
