This email is in particular for those of you IUG members who don't attend
ALA but WILL be attending PLA. IUG and III have been talking about
broadening the IUG presence at the Public Library Association conferences,
beginning with the 2008 conference in Minneapolis. I would like to ask if
that would be of interest to you. We were thinking about have something
similar to the program that I just announced for ALA. This might include an
IUG update, an III update and perhaps some session/s that might be of
interest to public libraries. We were still hashing out whether this would
be a good thing and decided to just ask. So, if you think this is a good
thing, then please let me know privately off list. I would appreciate
hearing any comments you might have about this idea. Thanks in advance.
