The central site upgraded to Millennium Release 2006 Monday. (yes, it is a
bit late, but we were waiting on all PCs to acquire more memory). Anyway,
one remote site cannot get logged onto Millennium any more. All the other
umpteen remote sites are doing fine logging in using both milup142-08 and
milup150-12 PC clients.
The problem is that they click on the Millennium icon on the desktop, the
username and password is entered, the jar starts to load, then stops and
SWISH they are back to the desktop. No error message or nothing. Every time
they click on the Millennium icon, the jar starts to load again.
Here at the central site, using the character base text, >A >R, I see that
the user login displays with the IP address but the entry disappears soon
after. We looked at the black screen (iiirunner.exe) and they get down to
the keepalive line "loader:Starting keepalive for URL:
http://-ip
address-/target=keepalive". They never get to the line beginning with
"jarcache:.." I can login here using their username and have no problems -
so the user login should be fine. We have called the networking people and
pinged IP addresses, loaded new clients, rebooted PCs all to no avail.
Is there something wrong with the keepalive? The java?
Does anyone have a suggestion?
