I have seen reports of this also, the same exact problem. Nothing happens when this patron clicks on the login link.

I had her try firefox, and that showed the same behavior.

I had her turn off some of the Norton Internet protection suite features, but that didn't seem to help, although I am still suspecting them. I'm hesitant to ask her to totally remove the Norton suite since the library really has nothing to do with supporting her computer. I'm still working on getting this resolved, but I'm not too hopeful since I don't personally have a machine with the problem to work on.

Hi all,

I have a patron who says that when she tries to log in to her account to
place holds, etc., her browser (IE 7) freezes up. She doesn't even get
to the page (pverify_web) to enter in her name, library card and PIN.
She freezes as soon as she clicks on the Log in to your account link on
our OPAC (http://innopac.fauquiercounty.gov/). She's the only person who
has reported this to me. Her operating system is Windows Vista Home
Premium. I've already mentioned having to enable cookies, etc. Has
anyone else encountered this problem?

Thanks much,
