Can it be that time already? IUG 16 in Washington DC is only about 4 months
away! Preconference is Sunday, April 27 and the Main Conference is Monday,
April 28 through Wednesday, April 30. The Program Committee has been
reviewing program proposals and it is time for IUG members to help!
Please help us plan the upcoming IUG conference in Washington by taking the
program survey. There's a link to the survey on the conference page:
http://www.innopacusers.org/iug2008/index.html
About the Survey:
The IUG Program Committee needs IUG members to fill out the survey to let us
know which programs you are most likely to attend. We will use this
information to put together a preliminary schedule and see which programs to
offer as repeats. Filling out the survey is *not* a commitment to attend
any given session, or even attend IUG. There is no limit to how many folks
from an institution may vote - anyone who thinks they may attend the
conference is eligible to vote. We will conduct a second survey in
mid-February once we have developed the preliminary schedule. The survey
will close on Monday January 7 so we can review the data at ALA Midwinter.
We will be following the trend from recent years of having fewer repeated
sessions, so it is very important for you to participate, even if you are
not sure that you are attending. Remember, the conference will be in
Washington DC in April! You won't want to miss it!
Again, you can find the survey form on the conference main page:
http://www.innopacusers.org/iug2008/index.html
Thanks to all of the IUG members who submitted a program as well as the
Program Committee! You can help us plan a better conference! Contact me
with questions.
