Al,
You could make a copy of the e-mail field in all of the patron records
using the Copy variable-length field option in Global update. Then,
you could go back in with global update and modify the second copy of
the field (change the field tag, replace @wsu.edu with a <blank>
character, etc.) This should work well for e-mail addresses in the
same domain (e.g. @wsu.edu). You will have more trouble using this
approach if the domain varies a lot between records because I don't
think you can use regular expressions to do Global updates.
