I do this all the time in my withdraw process.  Once I limit my list,
since we are a consortium, to only "swo" bibs, (in your case only "abcd"
bibs). I create a list from that list to find all "swo" bibs without an
item record attached:

Type			      Field           Condition		Value A
Bibliographic (b)     Linked rec (^)    not exist (n)       Item (i)

This will result in all abcd bibs without an item record attached. I
hope this helps.
