Woohoo! Thanks! - this works - I also added browse_t for the title index and
browse_s for the series index and voila ... the display is perfect.

Thanks to everyone for their responses - I do appreciate the help!

Our wonderful tech services manager (Chris) figured out what was needed
to fix this problem. In wwwoptions add a browse_d =
/abcdefghjklmnopqrstuvxyz/
Remember to stop and start the webserver processes. On our server we
had to do it from the telnet session instead of using the restart
button. World War II now looks great with all the subdivisions showing
after clicking the World War II subject link.

Said,
1 - We are not Pro and are using pre-2005 example pages
2 - *blush*
3 - I suspect this is correct, however, I can't for the life of me find
anything beyond the bottom of manual page 106889 which talks about call
numbers. It seems we have had this set up forever. However...
4 - ...I think this may have been something that Innovative turned on
for us several years ago. I don't see it on the Service Commitments page

so it's probably worth a call to the helpdesk to see if it is something
magical they can do.
