AirPAC does not seem to have a built-in Logout option. This may be OK for PDAs. But in our beta test, a user accessing from a home computer could not logout.

There is no logout button and her record remained {quot}in use.{quot} Closing and re-opening her browser did not clear the session. (In this case, Konqueror is the browser. The user explained the standard WebOPAC does not function in that browser.) While attempting to renew an item she received the {quot}Your record is busy{quot} message.

The only way to clear this is to have staff release the record in Millennium Circulation.

I was able to reproduce this in Firefox. I placed a hold and was validated OK. I viewed my record - and logged in OK. I attempted to renew one item - I received the {quot}ON HOLD - can't renew{quot} message. But when I attempted to renew a second item - I received the message {quot}Your record is busy; try again later.

{quot}

I closed the tab, re-entered AirPAC, logged back in to my account, attempted a renewal, and again received the message {quot}Your record is busy; try again later.{quot}

In each case, I've had to use Millennium Circulation - where it indicates the account is in in View-Only Mode (IN USE) - and {quot}Free the record in use.{quot}

Have others experienced this apparent bug and/or found a solution?
