I think the Clearinghouse and the wiki fill two different roles. The Clearinghouse, as I understand it, contains a lot of practical how-to information and articles. The wiki is intended to be more of a reference source designed to replace the manual, since I think we can generally agree that the manual needs a lot of improvement. So in that respect, "replacing" the Clearinghouse would probably be inadvisable.
