Hi Steve,

Looking good and promising. Is this manual certified or verfied by III?
No, it is not vetted by III. However, security is in place to prevent anyone from getting access that does not know the IUG password.
The admin of IUG were emailed about this a week ago requesting there concerns and/or if they knew if any concerns from Innovative.
I have not heard from them. Perhaps I will.

Do we need any permission from III to add to it?
Innovative concerns would be involving security. I think that is taken care of. It was tested by others outside of my library.

What if I add something is not true?
Then fix it. That is what readers of wikis do. Keep in mind that there are different versions of the Innovative software. Some library's reality may be different than yours. It may be useful to note the version of software your reality applies to. Also note the wiki's suggested conventions on references to pages in the III manual.
Just to clear things before I jump in.

Of course. Always look before you leap.

Steve

A III manual in a wiki format has been started. This is intended as test of the concept. Read and make edits as you see fit.

It is located at http://iiimanual.pbwiki.com/ You will need the IUG password.

Any comments and/or concerns about the idea can be made to the wiki, this listserv, or directly to my email address. However, please read the "about this wiki" on the site first.

PS: Don't ask me what the IUG password is. Get it from your library contact.
