Hi, Gerald,
I haven't seen a solution to your question, so I thought I'd throw this
into the mix. I can't tell from the message exactly what you are trying
to do--suppress printing or just format it so that it is more
attractive.
If the issue is that you don't want the toplogo and botlogo to print, I
can point you to our library's website, which uses CSS to suppress
printing of some sections of our pages. I have no idea if this method
will work with WebPAC Pro, but it might be worth a look. (I'm not
involved with designing/developing ours, so I have a very limited
understanding of how it works.)
To see this in action, take a look at any of our pages except the home
page--e.g. http://www.umkc.edu/lib/spec-col/rubaiyat.htm. You will note
that the navigational elements do not print. (I tested it this morning
to make sure.)
Our main style sheet is at
http://www.umkc.edu/lib/StyleSheets/content.css.
I didn't set this up, so my understanding is a bit fuzzy. But it looks
like this is controlled by
1) the use of the id and name attributes of "screen-only" in the div
tags (e.g. <div id="screen-only" name="screen-only"> at the bottom of
the page)
2) the @media print section of the style sheet
On the flip side, we also use CSS to suppress screen display but print
some elements on our pages, like the url for the webmaster contact form
near the bottom of the page. For this we use
1) the id and name attributes of "print-only" in the div tag
2) the @media screen section of the style sheet
I hope this proves helpful. Good luck,

We're having the same issue, so I'll be interested to hear from the
list.

Oh geez, Gerald, good find! This is silly. I don't think I actually took
that final step of actually printing a page, at least in IE. I
unfortunately don't have an answer; I hope someone else does. As far as
I can tell the logos are showing because printVer.css has the class
#topLogohead {display:none;} which hides it from displaying but doesn't
remove it from the page.
Since the resulting page when you click the "print version" link is
still bib_display.html, just painted with a different CSS, and
bib_display.html calls toplogo it means the logo is there, even if
hidden, so it prints.

Has anyone had the following problem and maybe a solution? Background,
I am using Internet Explorer (v. 6 or 7) and the WebPAC Pro example set
on our staging server. When I click on the "Print Version" for a record,
a simplified, non-CSS, display shows up on the screen but when I click
print (or print preview) the actual printout is using the screen's / web
view's CSS. So, the toplogo and botlogo attempts to print but do so
badly. Of course, all is fine in FireFox.
I seem to recall that I might have seen an answer to this question on
the listserv or maybe I am getting it confused with another listserv.
