We made the transition over to Teleforms when our TNS machine went belly
up. Setup was easier as you can record via a phone. With our old TNS
machine anytime I wanted to change the messages I use to literally have
to move the TNS server out of our server room as the background noise
caused problems with the recordings. It took a little tweaking to get
the quite spaces in the messages set to the right length. If you have
too long of a quite space many voice mail systems will think that you
are done speaking and so they end the message. I use to tell everyone
that TNS was a server with an attitude, either you do it my way or pay
the price. I can not tell you how many times I had to call Innovative
to resequence the queue. Plus the fact that we had to reboot it every
day before beginning notices. With Teleforms once you have your
schedule programmed in, it does the work for you. The whole upload
process goes away as the notices always stay on the Innovative Server.
So far the only thing we've had to watch carefully for is when Microsoft
pushes a patch that requires the Teleform Server to restart. When this
happens we then have to manually restart the call manager. We have also
chosen to have the Teleforms Server speak the pickup by date and the
customer name. The customer name is interesting because it is "computer
speak" and my name (Debi Krimm) comes out as De be Krimm. But it's
still a vast improvement for our customers over no name at all.
Although the name speak is only suppose to work for hold notices we
tried it with overdues and were pleased to find that it works there as
well. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

Our library is going to change our current TNS notification to
Teleforms. We have used TNS for quite a while and would like to hear
any comments about the changes, installation and problems with
Teleforms.
