I don't think it has to do with big_display.html. In addition to the
behavior you note I had just discovered the same problem going to our
help files (help_index.html) from the patron record and notice it also
happens if I click the "start over" button from the patron record (which
sends me to opacmenu.html). Bib_display.html is not in effect at that
point. It is only happening in IE (IE 6 in my case), not Firefox 2.0 or
Netscape 8.0.
It seems to have to do with the java used for the tabs. At least in my
case the initial browse display resulting from a keyword search from the
patron record is fine. The squishing happens when I go into a full
record. Help_index.html and opacmenu.html also have tabs. Since the
patron record has a different toplogo file and the inserttag_inhead
wwwoption is needed for the java to work according to the documentation
I wonder if that isn't getting inserted properly? And right now I am not
seeing this problem in my full records. But since I've been monkey-ing
with the bib_display.html and some of the tabs in full record display
aren't working properly right now even when not logged in it again
points to a java issue.
I was thinking it came with some recent Windows update affecting java
but I have a vague feeling I saw the problem with the help files right
before I left for IUG so I think it is at least a month old. I rarely
use IE except to test and this particular sequence (logging into My
Millennium then going elsewhere) hasn't come up often.
Is anyone not seeing this behavior in their catalog using the Pro
example set?

Subject: [IUG] My Millennium versus the bib_display
Now that I have my bib_display the way I want it... (Thanks for the help
on that!)... I have some interesting kinks I could use some help on.
Couldn't find any example of it in the Archives.
I'm doing this on my staging (http://libcat.uafortsmith.edu:2082/), BTW.
bib_display works in Firefox 2 and IE7, with the little tabs and
everything. IE7 moves the bibimage below the rest, but I can live with
it (unless somebody knows a fix!).
Then, however, I log into My Millennium and search.
BOOM!
They both proceed to ignore all that bib_display, show the entire record
(including fixed fields!), clear across the screen,
and IE7 moves it all a long scroll down below the toplogo to boot.
Anyone know the (probably simple) answer to getting My Millennium to use
bib_display?
Thanks in advance.
