We are in the process of redesigning our web OPAC. Although we may
later move the new version to WebPac Pro, we are redesigning without
WebPac Pro turned on. We plan to include the My Millennium login on the
search/x page which will be our initial/main page. We know that a token
will display a "You are logged into. . ." message on each screen once
the user has logged in. However, we have a few questions for those of
you who have prominently included the My Millennium login into your
design. Both questions assume that the patron has logged in to their
account.
1) Do you make any effort to insure that the login box does not
display on any screen after the user has logged in? If yes, how do you
handle this?
2) If you do not hide the login box, do you do anything to insure
that users know that they are still logged in? If so, what do you do?
3) Do you know where the system pulls the library name when it
displays "You are logged into XXXX as XXXX?" Do you know if it is
possible to alter the library name as it displays?
If you choose to follow this link to view our site, please remember that
this is a work in progress and we are just beginning the redesign
project. (
