Also, the Not Wanted Before date is greyed out in MilCirc if the hold was frozen in My Millennium.

When viewing a list of Bib-level holds in Millennium, a "frozen" hold
will have a date populated in the "Not Before" column.
Our staff generally don't use that "Not Before" date when managing holds
in Millennium, so we can usually assume that the presence of a date in
that column indicates the hold has been frozen by the patron.

Subject: Re: [IUG] Paging holds once they're unfrozen
I was hoping to implement the freeze_holds option, so all of the
discussion this past week of the possibility of no paging slips or
notices to patrons if an item is unfrozen but back on the shelf is
making me hesitant, to say the least. I look forward to hearing what
Carol hears back from III.
The other issue with the freeze holds (at least from our perspective) is
the following:
1. Patron freezes a hold and then forgets s/he froze it;
2. Patron calls our circulation department and complains, asks where
his/her hold is;
3. Staff looks up patron record in Millennium and there is nothing to
indicate that s/he froze the hold (at least from what I can see);
4. Staff will need to be trained to ask patron to look up their My
Millennium Account in the OPAC (or log in as patron) to see freeze...not
ideal
Am I missing something here, is there another way staff will be able to
tell that the patron froze a hold?
Thanks,
