If it helps at all, the part number on our Percon cable is 00-884-28. It is the original cable supplied with the Percon. The cable has the option of plugging in a power supply which we don't use. I suppose in the old terminal days, an external power supply was needed.

Hi folks,
After the presentations at IUG this year about inventory, I was all
inspired to break out our old Percon PT2000 scanner and give it a try.
However, I realized our transfer cable (the one that goes from the
Percon to the PC) is missing. I figured I would just go to Fry's and get
a DA15 female to USB cable, but I couldn't find anything like that once
I was there. I did pick up a DB9 to USB cable in case I find a DB9 to
DA15 converter. I'm willing to buy whatever adaptors I need to make this
work, but it seems that this DA15 female connector is a hard one to
find.
Can anyone who has a Percon PT2000 scanner let me know what type of
cable and adaptors you are using with the DA15 port, so I can try to
purchase it somewhere?
The DA15 female looks like this, with 8 holes on the top row and 7 on
the bottom row:
