Hello,
The University of Texas Libraries (Austin) is in the process of
implementing the Millennium ILS. For the past several years we have
used INNOPAC as our acquisitions and serials system, but we have used a
locally developed OPAC. During the process of implementing the full
Millennium system, III moved all out order and serials records to a new
server and all our order records were changed from 7 digit numbers to 8
digit numbers. Now we find that the 'output voucher' file is sending
out only the first seven characters of the order number.
Are there any libraries that are using 8 digit order numbers and also
using the output voucher option? How did you accommodate the 8 digit
order number in the output file? According to the specs I see on page
105990 of the manual the length of the order record is still listed as
7.
Thanks for any help.
