John -
I think that's the same problem we ran into. The difficulty is that III
doesn't index 18x headings at all. You can download them into your
system, but you can't find them again, because they aren't in any index.
When we were having this problem, III not only didn't index them
routinely but couldn't index them and also couldn't imagine why anybody
would want to index them. It's been a while, so that could have changed.
If so, I'd love to know it, because sometimes those records have
information that would be very useful to us, including cross-references
from old to new forms of the subdivision.

Hi all,
Is it possible to upload 18x authority records into III from OCLC
(Connexion Client, Worldcat) ?
We have a good new cataloger who's exploring whether we'd benefit from
doing this. It would be for some free-floating subdivisions that we'd
like to annotate as to local use.
Anyone doing it? We've tried and I'm not yet sure why it's not
working.
thanks,
John
