Re: [IUG] Title browse and 505 table of contents...

We also have thousands of enriched records using the 505t. Since we upgraded to release 2006 and upgraded to the 2000 indexing standards we have been experiencing consistent duplicate search results for long titles, and very strange and confusing search results that occur randomly. If we do a title search on "Over The Rainbow" sometimes the search results are displayed as "Over The Rainbow" using the correct 505t field that matches the search string. At other times, the display result is incorrect (however the actual entry records are correct) and the first 505t field of the contents group is displayed instead of the match on the search string. In this case, instead of the results being "Over The Rainbow" they are mixed up titles such as "Ladybird, ladybird," "Hello World," "Braham's Lullaby," ".......................," etc. Innovative is helping us with the problem and our title index is being re-indexed. I'm not sure if this is exactly the same problem that you're having, but it seems very similar. CS

We have recently "enriched" thousands of records in our catalog with 505 table of contents fields. All of 505|t's, just as they should, got indexed as titles. This created a situation where our Title search no longer results in displays that can be easily browsed by title: invisible 505|t's bring up 245's that are out of alphabetical order. In the past, when we had a relatively small number of 505|t's, title browse was not affected as much as now, when the number of 505's increased dramatically.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? Thank you.
