You are right Robert.

Even though the error messages are less aggravating, and the amazon index
will search different types of resources, I forgot the index is erratic.

We had results similar to what you refer to below, searching for CD's by
title. They did not come up in the amazon index, but did using the music
index. Another DVD showed up as not in stock using the amazon index and
was actually available using the DVD index.

So, yes, something does'nt seem to work the way one would anticipate and I
have'nt taken time to do all these searches directly at the amazon site to
make comparisons.
