I think some things were changed in 2006 regarding password handling and 
there was a bug or two that supposedly got fixed. Simplest thing is to 
reset as you have done. If the problem persists call III.

It seems you're not talking about initials/password here, but at one 
point after installing 2006 I had two functioning passwords (old and 
new) for the same initials!
