[IUG] Star TSP743 print problem since 2006 upgrade with JRE 1.5

Has anyone else had the problem of the receipt orientation changing from
horizontal to vertical causing a 6 inch receipt to become 6 pages long?

Innovative said they had heard of this before, but just opened a call
for now.  On the computers that we had upgrade to the 1.5 java we had
the problem, but one machine refuses to return to normal even after
totally removing all printer drivers, print buffers, JAVA, JRE, and
Millenium products and reinstalling the 1.4x JRE...

 

The San Jose hold slips print OK, but the normal patron receipts are
incorrect at this time on one workstation we have been unable to restore
normal function to.

 

On all our machines (except the one noted) 2006 works fine with our
printer, but only with JRE 1.4x

 

Please let me know if anyone has a solution and Happy New Year to
