Manager, Collection Development and Technical Service

The Library System of Lancaster County seeks a dynamic and creative leader
with a commitment to excellence to join its innovative management team.
LSLC is a federated public library system comprised of 13 members, with a
total of 17 service outlets using Innovative's Millennium ILS.

This position directs a staff of 7, engaged in acquisitions, cataloging and
processing for all members; provides consultation on collection development
and related issues; is responsible for the initiation and maintenance of
vendor relations, working with system members and the IT department to
constantly enhance the public catalog and its interface, and to facilitate
access to local, national and worldwide resources; engages in strategic
planning and budgeting for the department; and regularly visits member
libraries.  The winning candidate must have a strong interest in the
application of technology to streamline technical services processes to most
efficiently and effectively get the job done.

ALA accredited MLS; supervisory experience and knowledge of an ILS required.
Salary range, depending on education and experience: $44,000 to $54,000;
