REFERENCE LIBRARIAN
 
Emporia State University Libraries and Archives (ULA) invites
applications for a Reference Librarian.  This individual will provide
reference services to ULA patrons in person and in virtual environments
and will prepare and present instruction sessions in consultation with
the Instruction Coordinator.  The Reference Librarian will also serve as
collection development liaison to assigned academic departments and on
university committees.  This position reports to the Head of Information
and Instructional Services and is a full-time, 12-month tenure-track
position at the level of Assistant Professor.  Salary: $35,000 minimum.
 
Required qualifications:  ALA accredited MLS.  Experience or coursework
providing reference assistance; demonstrated ability to work
collaboratively with a variety of people and as part of an integrated
group; knowledge of current information technologies; organizational and
analytical skills; demonstrated oral and written communication skills;
and the ability to meet tenure requirements of teaching or performance
of primary duties, research and service.
