Yup. I've been using MarcEdit to create patron records for about 5
years now. I take an Excel file of data, use Word's Mail Merge to
create a template, use MarcEdit to make records, and use a loader I
wrote myself to get the records into our Innopac. In fact I just went
through the process earlier today and loaded 1,600 graduate student
records for our next semester.

I'm just about to leave for the holidays but feel free to email any
questions you have. I'll probably be checking my email from home.

Subject: [IUG] MarcEdit & Patron Records

Hello -

Does anyone have experience using MarcEdit to create patron records from
tab-delimited files and then load into their III system? I can do the
create part but haven't been successful with the load part.

Thanks.
