In our catalog if you do anything but a keyword search, i.e. title,
author or subject and we don't own anything then the message "Your entry
XXXX would be here" appears without the words "Search as Words" with
other contain before and after showing.
The line in briefcit -- <a href="/search/X">Search as Words</a>
adds the words before the title in the keyword, and title, subject or
author search when you click on a title with more than one title.
When testing I use wxyz with a title search and it shows the "Your
entry...." message.
I found King County has the words "Search as Words" following their
message so I know it can be done.

Couple of things...
(1) I've never quite understood why the "nohitmsg" token is even
mentioned
on the manual page for briefcit.html. The function of the brief
citation
form is to control the display of bib info on a record browse; if the
display is not a record browse, then briefcit is not called into play.
If
a search results in no hits, then there are no records to browse,
briefcit
is not used, and any "no hit" message token in the form would be
ignored. (Am I missing something?)
(2) The "Your entry XXXX would be here" message has nothing to do with
the
brief citation form. That message only appears on index browse screens
following an unsuccessful search.
(3) Every Innovative WebOPAC I've ever seen automatically includes the
"Search as words" link following "Your entry XXXX would be here" for
failed
title and subject searches. The LVCCLD WebOPAC does not, which means
either you have some capability the rest of us don't, something's
broken,
or it's an option about which I've long forgotten.
