Re: [IUG] Problems with JRE 1.5 and Release 2006

We upgraded to 2006 two weeks ago and also went with the JRE 1.5.0_06. We have not experienced any freezing problems. The only problem we're having related to the Java version is in Circ when you are in a patron record and click on the checked-out items tab the screen will be blank even though the tab says there are a number of checked-out items. If you close and open the record the items appear. This is apparently a Known Issue and Innovative is working on it.

Otherwise things are looking good. We are a consortium of 40 public libraries in west-central Wisconsin and have about 200 simultaneous Mil users.

Subject: [IUG] Problems with JRE 1.5 and Release 2006

We recently upgraded to Release 2006 and upgraded our Millennium client
to milup150_06 (JRE 1.5.0_06), III's recommended version for Release
2006.
We are experiencing widespread freezing in all Millennium modules
-Circulation, Cataloging, Acquisitions, Serials, and ILL.

Is anyone else using this new client (1.5) with R2006? If so what are
your experiences?

The eiNetwork is a large public library consortium with over 500
simultaneous Millennium users in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sharon
