Jeff,
I was able to get this working correctly with the Aero Interface.
You will need to install the Java 6 JRE on Vista. You can pick that up
at http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp Make sure that you
install it to the default location.
Then you will need to point iiirunner to the proper java.
To do this, you will need to open up the iiirunner.lax, which is located
in the Millennium folder. Use Notepad to open this file. Word or Wordpad
will cause the file to not work properly. I would also suggest making a
backup copy of iiirunner.lax just in case something goes wrong.
Now, after you open up the folder, look for the following section:
# LAX.NL.CURRENT.VM
# -----------------
# the VM to use for the next launch
lax.nl.current.vm=C:\\Millennium\\jre\\1.4.2_08\\\\bin\\java.exe
You will need to change that to the following.
Note, double check the jre1.6.0 portion. If for some reason, the Sun
released an update since I installed this on mine, the exact folder
might have changed.
# LAX.NL.CURRENT.VM
# -----------------
# the VM to use for the next launch
lax.nl.current.vm=C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre1.6.0\\bin\\java.exe
Save the file.
Now, launch iiirunner and see if is loads correctly.
It should run correctly with the Aero interface intact.
I have not ran into any show stoppers, either on Release 2005 or 2006.
Sometimes it will be very slow loading Millennium Stats, but it usually
loads for me. I have not tried it with acquisitions or cataloging.
